Yumechi (ゆめち, Yumechi) is one of the main characters of the Akiba Maid War anime series. She is considered the "ace maid" of Oinky Doink Café due to her charisma with customers whose twin tails are her distinct feature.
Appearance[]
Yumechi has pale skin and pink eyes and wears her black hair in twin tails which are very popular with the customers. She wears the Oinky Doink Café Maid outfit with long white stockings and black mary janes.
Personality[]
Yumechi is popular for being flirtatious, but she also has a quick-witted and tactical side. Yumechi puts on a cute act for her small, but dedicated followers. She is, in truth, very professional and harsh towards those she views as annoyances for her job, and she doesn't like anyone who may come between the tips she gets from her regulars. Despite this, she generally means well.
However, she is able to read other people and turn on her charm when needed. She doesn't take kindly when someone insults the café and defends the café fiercely. Yumechi is skilled in high combat abilities and doesn't hesitant to use the skill when it comes to defending her fellow maids and café.
Background[]
Yumechi is the first maid working at Oinky Doink Café and brings in the most money with her cute flare with customers.
In Episode 2, while playing poker, she is able to detect subtle changes in her opponent during their poker game, mentions said variances, and nearly fools of them all into thinking she has a winning hand. She still loses because her hand can't beat her opponents. On the other hand, she thinks the staff are more important than the store manager and puts on an act to plan Ranko's surprise birthday. She delivered the fatal shot to Kaoruko, who insulted Ranko.
She gives Nagomi a speech when she wants to stop the war in Episode 6, telling her that people have, and will keep dying and that her attempts to stop it will lead to someone dying, be it her or someone else protecting her. Yumechi's words are proven right when Nerula dies trying to protect Nagomi and Ranko from Manami's wrath.
In Episode 9, Yumechi explains how the café is at the bottom of the Creatureland Group pyramid scheme and that there's no changing it. She encourages the others to hold their tongue when higher maids make them grovel in apology for Nagomi's mistake, knowing they had no power in the situation. She appeared inspired by Nagomi's speech to change their shop placement by winning the festival maid climb and watches proudly when Nagomi wins.
In Episode 10, Yumechi, Shiipon, and Zoya, cheer Ranko on for her date with Suehiro, unaware he was sent to assassinate her.

They two seem to be the closest to one another, having worked the longest together. They often share the same strong feeling for the café and quickly come to blows when someone insults their fellow maids or the café.
Yasuko Yaegashi[]
Yumechi is the maid who has worked the longest at Oinky Doink and has a low tolerance for Yasuko's antics, quick to call her out on her mistakes. However, she goes along with Yasuko's plans when it comes to the café (going to the Maid Casino in an attempt to pay off the cafe's debt) and her fellow maids (pretending not to care about Ranko's birthday so they could prepare for the latter's surprise party in Episode 5).

- Her name is Yume, but she goes by Yumechi while on the job.
- Yumechi is skilled at puzzle games.
- Her favorite food is Ochazuke.
- According to the character booklet in the first limited edition BD Box, her hair color was originally going to be an unnatural color. The first few designs of Yumechi depicted her with a pink hair color. In the end, however, she got a black hair color. [3]
