Yasuko Yaegashi[2] (八重樫 靖子, Yaegashi Yasuko) is one of the main characters of the Akiba Maid War anime series. She is the manager of the Oinky Doink Café.
Appearance[]
Yasuko has dark brown hair worn in a ponytail and black eyes. She wears a pink hairpin on the left side of her head, a black button-up vest over a white long-sleeved dress shirt, a red necktie, a "pig snout" lapel pin on the left side of her vest, black dress pants, and black high-heel shoes.
In Episode 5, she wears the Oinky Doink Café Maid outfit with long black stockings and black high-heel shoes while pretending to be Ranko, after she and Nagomi are taken hostage by Kaoruko.
In Episode 8, she wore a blazer and a dark purple necktie while attending the funeral for Manami Yamagishi.
Personality[]
Yasuko is a natural troublemaker who constantly gets involved in something. She is lazy and secretive, sending her new unknowing employees to deliver an insult to another maid café, expecting them to be killed, and has no hesitation in making another hiring poster. However, she seemed glad Nagomi and Ranko returned alive.
Her bad luck with money puts her in debt to the Creatureland Group, and her schemes to get out of debt worsen things.
Apparently, her dream is to retire in Hawaii and be surrounded by attractive men.
Background[]
Apparently, Yasuko used to be a maid herself but now found herself working as the manager of the Oinky Doink Café. She often goes into debt and has the Debt Collector visit her.

Nagomi Wahira[]
Despite nearly getting her killed on her first day at work, she seems to develop a genuine care for Nagomi. She views herself as a secondary mother figure to the young maid and even offers to serve as a witness during the bonding sisterhood ceremony between her and Nerula. In Episode 9, she worries for Nagomi after she abandons the maids to handle their booth at the Akiba Maid Festival by themselves. She even sees Nagomi as a fish while she was pulling in a catch, feeling guilty, and runs to the festival in time to see Nagomi being crowned the year's Lady Omoe. When Nagomi sees her in the crowd, she smiles and waves at her.
Okachimachi[]
Prior to the main storyline, Yasuko found Okachimachi lingering outside the café and joined Oinky Doink Café as a mascot. It is implied Yasuko knows the true identity of the panda. In Episode 4, she offers Okachimachi bamboo when they were trash surfing before remembering the panda was a human. In addition, when Ranko knocks the mascot head off Okachimachi, in Episode 10, the latter has a matching pink clip in her hair that matches the one Yasuko sports in her own, implying she gave it to Okachimachi.
Shiipon[]
Yasuko recruited Shiipon to join the café when she was still a high school student. She has a higher tolerance for Yasuko's antics than Yumechi. She and Yasuko take out loans to bet on Ranko while offering their organs as collateral in Episode 3. In addition, upon Shiipon's transformation under Minori Sano's control, Yasuko takes back the café with Shiipon completely backing her.
Yumechi[]
Yumechi is the maid who has worked the longest at Oinky Doink and has a low tolerance for Yasuko's antics, quick to call her out on her mistakes. However, she goes along with Yasuko's plans when it comes to the café (going to the Maid Casino in an attempt to pay off the cafe's debt) and her fellow maids (pretending not to care about Ranko's birthday so they could prepare for the latter's surprise party in Episode 5).

- She is likely the only one who knows Okachimachi's real identity besides Ranko.
- Her first name, Yasuko, can be translated into English as "Peaceful child".
- Her favorite food is yakiniku, which she eats when other people are paying for it. [3]
- She is the only café manager who does not usually wear a maid outfit and opts for business attire instead. As seen during the meeting at Creatureland HQ, all of the other café managers as well as the executives wear maid outfits that reflect their respective cafés' animal theme.
