Oinky Doink Café (メイドカフェとんとことん, Meido Kafe Ton Toko Ton) is the maid café in which the main characters of Akiba Maid War live and work, located in Akihabara, Tokyo.
Background[]
The café is located above a ramen shop called Dorama, which is owned by the General. It isn't in the best condition compared to rival cafes, dingy with old peeling wallpaper, but the shop still had a handful of dedicated regulars. It housed at least three bedrooms. Nagomi and Ranko are roommates, and it is implied Yumechi and Shiipon share a room as well, and that Manager may have her own room. With the addition of Zoya, it is revealed in Meido Life Comic 2 Zoya sleeps on the roof with a sleeping bag.[1]
The café outfit consists of a pink and black maid outfit with pig ears, a pig nose bow, and a name tag on the apron. In the Creatureland Group "ecosystem", the café is ranked the lowest, making it easy for higher rank maids to push Oink Doink maids. This happened to Nagomi on a few instances when maids threatened her at other stores in the group that she is handing out leaflets in Episode 2 and roughened up by them at the festival in Episode 9. The catchphrase used when handing out flyers is "Rendezvous with you."
Due to the poor management situation and delays in payment to Creatureland Group, collectors often threaten the café. Even the leaflets distributed were black and white; the printing was faint since they could not afford any ink.
After Ranko joined, she crushed rival stores by force, and in Episode 4, she was recognized by the store manager of the Creatureland Group as a "new star fighter". While Ranko's ability of gun-wielding are extraordinary, Yumechi, Shiipon, and Zoya also possess very high combat abilities on the staff. In Episode 5, they destroyed Maid Sheep when they kidnapped Nagomi and Ranko, which had double the amount of staff, without no other help.
In Episode 9, Nagomi won the Moe-sama climb and became Moe-sama of the year, and the café became prosperous because of the effect.
In Episode 10, it is revealed that the café was previously named Handmaid's Tea House, the café operated by Michiyo. Following her death in 1985, the building remained empty for several years before Yasuko took it over and renamed it Oinky Doink Café.
In the post credits of the final episode, the café is still running by 2018 and is known as The New Oinky Doink Café and Nagomi is still working there as a 36 year old maid in a wheelchair.
