Akiba Maid War Wiki

Maidalien Group (メイドリアン, Meidorian) was a holding company operated by Ugaki in Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan.

It was an alien and science-fiction-themed maid café group and Creatureland Group's primary competitor in Akiba. They had been at a truce with the latter for years, up until the destruction of Wuv-Wuv Moonbeam and the return of Manami.

Description[]

As its name implies, all of the maid cafés under the group have an alien theme. The company's main business activity is managing alien-themed cafes by allowing them to operate in Akihabara in exchange for a portion of its profits.

In 1999, Maidalien Group and Creatureland Group were the two biggest maid café groups in Akihabara. While Creatureland was the bigger group, the Maidalien Group had been doing quite well financially, as it had continued expanding through Akihabara. Despite their rivalry, both groups kept a friendly distance from each other to maintain peace in the area.

Under the control of Ugaki, the company had shifted away from using weapons and violence and focused on making profits, which allowed them to be financially successful. However, she noted that this change originated partly from the previous leader after senior member Manami went to prison for several years.

Following Manami's release from prison, she becomes upset after finding out that a sister café, Wuv-Wuv Moonbeam, wasn't at the meeting because members from the Creatureland Group had wiped them out. She becomes even more upset when Kazue simply shrugs it off and states that she has no intention to seek revenge. After scolding the members for becoming soft and weak, she then forces Kazue out of the leadership position and promotes herself to the acting head.

Manami sends a letter to the Creatureland Group to announce her new position as acting head and issue a formal complaint about Wuv-Wuv Moonbeam's destruction from a subsidiary of the group. Nagi and Debt Collector inform the Oinky Doink Café Manager about the complaint and warn her that if she doesn't make amends with the Maidalien Group, then there will be no longer be a place in Akihabara for her and the Oinky Doink Café.

During her tenure as acting head, Manami continued to anger the senior members, who simply wanted to continue living a peaceful and wealthy life. Manami's presence only reminded them of their obligation to the "Akiba Big Bang". A full-scale war with the Creatureland Group that would eventually lead to the Maidalien Group's domination of Akihabara.

As the orders to prepare for war are being given to the subsidiaries, Nerula, a maid from Invader Café Destron, warns Nagomi from Oinky Doink Café about the event. She also informs a police detective about the planned war, but he is paid off by Manami's assistant, Miyabi. Although her efforts help delay the war, Neurla is mortally wounded by Manami after she finds out that she has been the rat. After watching Nerula die in her arms, Nagomi runs away from the café, eventually taking a job at a ninja-themed café.

Soon, the war commences, with Manami and a large group of maids attacking the Oinky Doink Café. Although heavily outnumbered, the Oinky Doink Café Maids can keep them back temporarily, but eventually, they realize that they are low on ammo and outgunned. To their surprise, Nagomi returns in her ninja uniform and utilizes several ninja weapons and techniques to help turn the tide and wipe out the maid army. Although a badly injured Manami desperately tries to keep fighting, Miyabi pulls her out, as they are the only remaining members. At a phone booth, Manami calls the Maidalien Group and requests reinforcements. Kazue tells her that she does not care about their war anymore and that she and Miyabi are on their own now, as the rest of the group have agreed to merge with the Creatureland Group to co-exist in Akihabara. As the other senior members snicker at Manami's failure and inevitable fate, Kazue thanks Manami for her effort to make the merger happen and wishes her a peaceful death.

At a nearby park, Manami tells Miyabi to leave her, as she realizes that they are out of options. Shortly afterward, Nagomi and Ranko Mannen arrive and confront her. Although Ranko is ready to shoot her, Nagomi blocks her from doing so. She then tells Manami that maids have to change with the times and that while she will never forgive her for killing Nerula, she wants her to live on as a maid. Manami eventually relents, saying that pig hunting is over and it's time to go back to outer space. She staggers out of the park and returns to the Maidalien Group building, where she mockingly declares that it smells like creatures in the office and that she can see the collar around Kazue's neck. Kazue and the senior members, now armed with handguns, decide that it's time to make Manami become a "stardust memory" and brutally gun her down. After putting her corpse into a red barrel and dumping it into the ocean, Kazue returned as head of the Maidalien Group.

Although Kazue aimed to make a peaceful merger happen between the two groups on equal terms, the deal fell short, with Nagi taking full advantage and inevitably erasing the Maidalien Group from Akihabara. While a few maids who had opposed the merger broke away from the group following the death of Manami, those who had remained were subsequently rebranded as the Memory Lane Animal Café Axolotl.
